Dr. Balog specializes in psychological, neuropsychological, and educational assessment of children and adults. Specific areas of expertise include learning disabilities, ADHD, gifted and talented, autism, developmental disabilities, reactive attachment disorder, and psychiatric disorders.
Since 1990 Dr. Balog has been conducting assessments of children and adults, and has worked in schools and hospital clinics in different areas of the country.
Dr. Balog received her bachelor's degree from Boston College in 1986. She then went on to earn a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Colorado in 1990, and her doctorate in Counseling Psychology in 1995 from the University of Denver, with a cognate in Child Clinical Psychology.
Practical training includes a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, TX and a post-doctoral residency at St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Dr. Balog is a licensed psychologist in Maine; and is a member of the International Neuropsychological Society.
